The Granite Guy wants to help when you need natural stone for residential and
business renovation and new construction. Every item purchased from and installed by The Granite Guy is custom-crafted and
installed by professionals. All of us enjoy working with granite. We also enjoy working with good people who appreciate the
tone, texture and fascinating lore of crafted stone.
George
grew up in the stonecraft industry. His father brought electricity to their small village near Krakow, Poland when he launched
a stone finishing plant. Soon after the family emmigrated to the USA in the 60s, his father was directing the same kind of
plant, originally in New York; later New Jersey. For years off and on, while attending college, George and his brother
John continued working with their father. After completing college and starting life on their own, John established a
natural stone business in Indianapolis, Indiana and George came to Springfield.
The Granite Guy Springfield opened
in 2001. To provide more showroom space, George moved to its current location on North Dirksen Parkway in 2005. Today The
Granite Guy serves customers north to Pontiac, south to Pittsfield, east to Decatur and west to Pittsfield and Peoria.
With career "roots" so deep in stone and a team of dedicated professionals, The Granite Guy is ready to
serve you as no other business of its kind in the Midwest. Our knowledge of stonecrafting is unsurpassed, and our dedication
to serving customers old and new is unmatched. We are confident when you visit The Granite Guy, you will find the
process of defining your goal, designing a pratical approach to meeting it, then delivering and installing it will be as smooth
as the finish on your meeting room table or kitchen counter . . . or whatever you have in mind.
